CANDLE CARE
TIPS

  • Do I need a candle holder for shaped candles?
Yes! Since our candles are freestanding and not in vessels, we recommend placing them on a heat-resistant, flat surface or a decorative candle tray to catch any melted wax.
  • How do I trim the wick on a shaped candle?
Before each burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch (6mm). This helps control the flame, reduces soot, and ensures a clean, even burn.
  • Why is my shaped candle tunneling or burning unevenly?
Shaped candles naturally burn differently than container candles. To help avoid tunneling: Let the wax pool reach near the edges (if possible) on the first burn. Burn the candle for 1–2 hours max per session, depending on size and shape.
  • Can I burn my shaped candle all the way through?
You can, however, many customers prefer to partially burn and keep them as decorative art. Once it melts past its core design, the shape may soften or warp.
  • How do I store my shaped candles properly?
Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight to prevent discoloration or shape distortion. Avoid high heat like windowsills which can soften or warp the wax.
  • Is it safe to light shaped candles near other objects?
No. Always keep candles at least 6 inches away from flammable materials, walls, curtains, or other décor. Supervise while burning and never leave unattended.
  • Why does the wax pool differently compared to jar candles?
Because shaped candles are freeform, the wax pools outward rather than staying contained. This is normal, just ensure the base you're using can catch drips.
  • Are your shaped candles made to be fully functional or decorative?
Both! They're crafted for emotional expression and beauty, but also made with clean-burning, phthalate-free wax if you choose to light them.
  • Can I reuse melted wax from a shaped candle?
Yes! You can repurpose leftover wax in a wax warmer or use it for DIY projects. Never pour melted wax down the drain.
